Malinga returns to Sri Lanka T20I squad for Australia tour

Sri Lanka cricket recalled veteran fast blower Lasith Malinga to the Sri Lanka squad for a T20 Internationals series against Australia after recovering from long running knee injury. Malinga return to international cricket after one year, he played last a T20 match against UAE in the Asia Cup T20 in Bangladesh.

Upul Tharanga will lead the Sri Lanka side in the absence of Angelo Mathews who was ruled out of the side due to his hamstring injury. Dinesh Chandimal, who led Sri Lanka team in the last T20I in South Africa was dropped off from the squad due to his poor form across formats in South Africa. Fast Blower Suranga Lakmal, All-rounders Dhananjaya de Silva and Thikshila de Silva and fast blower Nuwan Pradeep were dropped from the squad.

Batsmen Chamara Kapugedara and Dilshan Munaweera, All-rounders Dasun Shanaka and Milinda Siriwardana were picked for the 15-man squad. Dilshan Munaweera played last against Bangladesh in March 2013. Milinda Siriwardana hit two hundreds and three fifties and picked up five wickets in his last eight domestic cricket innings.

Sri Lanka play three T20 Internationals matches and first T20 internationals match is scheduled on 17th February at MCG.

This Year Sri Lanka played three T20 Internationals matches and won two matches, lost one.

    this is the malinga plaing last tme for srilanka.he nt perform well 100% sure.he wants to check whether how is fitenees before ipl matches.thats onlly his point in mind.
