Google’s first Android Wear 2.0 is coming on two LG smartwatches in February

Google confirmed that would be launching two smartwatches with forthcoming Android Wear 2.0 last December. According to mobile reporter Evan Blass, Google is expected to release the two new smartwatches on February 9. The new two smartwatches are manufactured by LG and will be called LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style.

Shipping starts  in the US the day after they’re announced and the roll-out will continue to other regions through February and March.

Both watches feature circular OLED displays,Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity to pair with smartphones. Both smartwatches will have 4GB of internal storage, NFC for Android Pay support and running the latest Android Wear 2.0.

The Watch Sport will come with a 1.38-inch screen (480 x 480 resolution) screen and is packed with 768MB RAM, a 430mAh battery, a heart rate sensor and GPS. It will also support a SIM card so it can work independent of a smartphone. The Watch Sport will have a thicker 14.2mm case and will come in titanium and dark blue. It is also water and dust resistance with IP68 certification(can be immersed in water beyond 3.2 feet and more than 30 minutes).

The Watch Style will come with a 1.2-inch (360 x 360 resolution) screen and is packed with 512MB RAM and a 240mAh battery.  It will have  a thicker 10.8mm case and it’s swappable straps will be available in titanium, silver, and rose gold.  It is also water and dust resistance with IP67 certification(immersion up to 3.2 feet and as long as 30 minutes).

The two smartwatches will be integrated the Google Assistance(available on the Pixels and Google Home) and also iOS compatible and digital crown button for navigating, similar to the Apple Watch.

Android Wear 2.0 will also roll out for the selected smartwatches which are already available in the market.
